What you get with a GOAT device

iOSAndroidWeb

SV.GOAT covers everyday monitoring on its own, and a GOAT device aboard your boat unlocks the full set — forecasting, radar, and coaching. Safety features are never locked.

What the app does on its own

  • Dashboard: General, Electrical, Tanks, Navigation
  • Anchor watch and the core safety alarms (always on — never locked)
  • Map view and track / voyage recording
  • Journey photos
  • Up to 5 basic alerts

What a GOAT device adds

  • AIS radar — nearby vessel traffic
  • Weather forecasts & storm alarms
  • Performance Polar & sailing coach
  • Marine Intelligence (energy insights)
  • Sailing Log (daily averages and your sailing totals)
  • Remote monitoring — check your boat when you're away
  • Advanced alerts and unlimited history
  • Sailors Network Discoverable & location broadcast

Account limits without a device

Until a GOAT device is set up, an account covers 1 boat, 1 GOAT device, 3 guests, and 5 alerts. Going past a limit shows a "Limit Reached" message naming the limit you hit — for example "You've reached your limit of 1 boat. More boats come with a GOAT device." See Multiple boats & limits.

How the extra features unlock

They are tied to the GOAT device hardware aboard your boat. Once a device is set up and online on your account, these features unlock on their own — there is nothing to switch on in the app. Rows that need one show a gold lock and a "GOAT device required" label.

Get a GOAT device

GOAT devices are supplied by our partner chandler easysea.org. Once yours arrives, follow Set up a new GOAT device and the extra features open up on your account by themselves — there is nothing else to arrange.

Note: Captain Data-beard, the connector for your own Claude or ChatGPT, works on every account, with or without a GOAT device.

Note: Anchor and safety alarms are part of every account and can never be locked behind a GOAT device or anything else. Your anchor watch keeps running whatever else you do or don't have.
