The map is grey or blank

The map shows a grey or blank background. The map's base imagery comes from the internet, so this is almost always a connection issue.

Checklist

1. No internet = grey base map. Map tiles download over the internet; offline, the background may be grey even though your recorded tracks still draw on top.
2. Weak or slow signal — give it a moment. Let the tiles catch up, and pan or zoom to trigger a reload.
3. Nothing in the selected date range? If no tracks were recorded for the current filter, the map can look empty — switch the date filter (Today / 7-day / 30-day / All).
4. No position fix — it won't center. Centering on your boat needs a GPS fix; without one, the map can't jump to your location.
