Add a boat

Add a boat to start monitoring it. Boats are created in the app.
In the app
- Tap the boat name at the top, then open the boat list.
- Tap the + button (Add Boat).
- Enter your boat's details and confirm with your account PIN.
- Tap Add Boat to save. You'll then be offered a quick onboarding to set up its data — choose Essential, Balanced, or Everything, or skip it for now.
On the web
The web dashboard does not create boats. Once you add a boat in the app, it appears on svgoat.app when you sign in with the same account.
Warning: You need a GOAT device linked to your account before you can add a boat. Without one, the app shows a "GOAT device required" message instead of the add-boat form. Set up your GOAT device first, or see Multiple boats & limits.
Note: An account starts with 1 boat. A GOAT device raises the limit — see What you get with a GOAT device.
