Edit your boat's details & specs
iOSAndroidWeb
Your boat's configuration holds its name, dimensions, rig, hull and keel type, engines, tanks, and the specs that power features like the performance polar. Edits sync across your devices and the web.
Steps
- Open your boat's Boat Configuration screen (from Settings → Boats, or the boat list).
- Expand a section and edit the fields you need.
- For hull speed, tap CALC to calculate it from your hull length automatically.
- Tap Save.
How syncing works
- Edits save field by field. A field you just changed always wins, even if another device or the web edited the same boat around the same time — so your latest change isn't lost.
- If you're offline, your changes are queued and pushed automatically once you're back online.
On the web
You can edit boat details at svgoat.app too (general, electrical, navigation, and polar specs). Changes there sync back to the app the same way.
Note: Only the boat's owner can edit its configuration. If a boat was shared with you as a guest, the fields are read-only. See guest vs owner for what guests can do.
Note: CALC uses your Hull Length, not waterline length — those are separate fields (waterline length feeds the performance polar).
