My journey photos are missing

Your map/journey photos vanished, or didn't show up on a new phone. Photos live only on your phone — they are never uploaded to SV.GOAT — so this is expected in a few situations.
Checklist
- Photos are phone-only. Journey photos are saved to your phone's own photo gallery and never sent to SV.GOAT. A different phone won't have them.
- Reinstalled the app? Re-import them. Open the map, tap Gallery in the bottom action row, then Re-import photos to rescan your gallery and rebuild them.
- New phone? Only your own iCloud or Google Photos backup can carry them across — if you had that backup switched on.
- Guests never see photos. They stay on the owner's phone, so a shared-boat guest won't see them at all.
- Android: grant photo + location permission. Re-import needs photo access and media-location permission to keep each photo's GPS position — allow both when asked, or photos won't pin to the map.
Note: Because photos never leave your phone, keeping your phone's own photo backup (iCloud / Google Photos) turned on is the only way to move them to a new device.
