Add and configure a tank
iOSAndroid
Tanks you set up appear as level cards on the Tanks tab. The app tries to import tanks it discovers automatically, but you can add or fine-tune them yourself.
Steps
- Go to Settings → Boat Setup → Tank Configuration and tap Add Tank.
- Enter a Tank Name.
- Choose the Tank Type (for example Water, Diesel, Petrol, Black Water, Holding).
- Enter the Capacity (Liters) and, if you want, change the Display Unit (L or gal).
- Set the level source: tap the discover button next to SignalK Path to find the reading on your boat, then pick it from the list. If nothing is found you can choose from the common paths offered.
- Optionally set a Low Level Warning (%) so you get an alert when the tank runs low.
- Tap Save.
Note: The app auto-imports tanks it detects the first time, so you may already see fuel or water cards before you add anything. Adding a tank manually is for anything that wasn't picked up, or to correct the capacity and type.
Warning: Only the boat owner can add or change tanks. Guests can view tank levels but can't edit the configuration.
