Set an alarm on a card
Safety-critical
This affects a safety feature. Read carefully and confirm the behavior on your own boat.
Most dashboard cards can trigger an alarm when a reading crosses a limit you set — for example wind above a speed, or battery below a charge.
Steps
- Find the card you want to watch on the General, Electrical or Tanks tab.
- Tap the bell on that card.
- Choose the comparison (Greater than, Less than or Equals) and enter your threshold value.
- Turn the alarm on and tap Save.
To stop an alarm later, open the same dialog and switch it off — there's no separate delete.
Warning: The boat's saved alarm thresholds are controlled by the owner — on the web dashboard, only the owner can change the core wind and battery limits. Guests' changes aren't kept for the boat.
Note: The anchor alarm isn't set here — you arm it from the Anchor Watch screen when you drop the anchor.
On the web (svgoat.app)
The web dashboard lets the owner set the core wind and battery thresholds in the boat's Alarms section. The per-card bell for custom alarms is app-only.
