Set the app-lock PIN

The app-lock PIN protects the app on this phone. It's optional and separate from your account PIN.
The two PINs
- Account PIN — signs you into your SV.GOAT account. You can reset it on the web.
- App-lock PIN — locks the app on this specific phone and keeps your session encrypted on the device. It never leaves the phone.
Turn it on
You get the app-lock PIN by opting out of staying signed in — the PIN then encrypts your session on this phone.
- Go to Settings.
- Turn Keep me signed in on this device off.
- On the PIN setup screen, choose a PIN and confirm it (the button reads ENABLE PIN PROTECTION on Android, ENABLE PIN VAULT on iOS).
- From now on, the app asks for this PIN each time you open it.
You can also set it right at sign-in: uncheck Keep me signed in when you log in, and the app prompts you to create the PIN.
Change or turn it off
- To change it, use Change PIN (Android) / Change Vault PIN (iOS) in Settings — enter your current PIN, then set a new one.
- To turn it off, switch Keep me signed in back on and confirm Disable PIN protection?.
Warning: After 20 wrong app-lock PIN attempts, the app signs you out on this phone to protect your account. Your boats and data are safe in the cloud — just sign in again with your account.
Note: This is an app-only feature. There is no app-lock PIN on the web dashboard.
