Invite someone to your boat

As the boat owner, you can share your boat with crew or family. They get read-only access to your boat's data. You can invite people from the app or from the web — only the boat owner can share.

From the app

1. Open your boats list and select the boat you want to share.
2. Open its Share Boat panel and find Invite a Guest.
3. Enter the person's email address and tap Send Invitation.
4. You'll see "Invitation sent". Tell them to open the app (or the web) and accept — see "Accept an invitation".

From the web

1. Sign in at svgoat.app and open the boat you want to share.
2. Open the Share panel for that boat.
3. Enter the person's email address and send the invitation.
4. Tell them to accept the invite wherever they're signed in.

Good to know

• You can invite an email even if that person doesn't have a SV.GOAT account yet — they'll see the invite once they sign up with that email.
• Invitations expire after 30 days if not accepted.
• Only the boat owner can share — guests can't invite others.
• Everyone you invite is a guest: read-only. Guests can view your boat and arm the anchor watch while aboard, but can't change settings, thresholds, or share the boat. See "What guests and owners can do".
